Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic named Premier League player of the month

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been named Premier League player of the month for December.
The Swede saw off competition from the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Diego Costa and Dele Alli to win the prize for the first time.
Ibrahimovic, 35, scored five goals in six games during the course of the month as Jose Mourinho’s side went unbeaten.
The former Paris Saint-Germain forward went through a dismal spell in October and Novemeber when he bagged just one goal in 11 appearances but he’s turned his performances around as Manchester United target a spot in the top four.
Mourinho’s side take on Liverpool on Sunday at Old Trafford and Ibrahimovic is expected to start after missing Tuesday’s EFL Cup clash with Hull through illness.
